Hi all, been awhile since i spouting nonsense but here we go. we've been discussing this idea in discord but those fuckers are doing nothing but laugh at the forum (fuck you)
As you can see, i have about 370 threads by now, and it's mostly downloadable in DLC subforum.
It really makes me want to cry because managing those stuff aren't exactly easy, and i've been playing catch with dmca trolls from time to time. It's not so easy to re-upload whole 350+ GB of stuff to somewhere else, and regenerate share links from that folders. And i can't find any file hosting which allow me to upload that much, with rclone support, or API support FOR FREE. yea i'm not gonna spend a dime on file hosting because it's all just gonna be waste if those copyright bot back to scraping again. yes i tried it, i tried to use paid MEGA.nz and it's gone less than a year.
at the moment mega.nz announced that they will terminate account that has few login activities, few download activities, or hurr try our paid plan durr!! i said fuck it. you probably will get to my post when i still seethe about it here if you dig deep enough.
and then i moved to another alternate, i uses my onedrive account (which is an enterprise account, linked to my employer). at first it went really fine. IT'S REALLY FINE. until some dumbfuk on our company installed cracked app because they're too lazy to notify the IT admins, teehee oopsie whoopsie OwO we got caught by ransomware!
It wasn't really funny because everyone's account got suspended by instant. and after following the account usage audit, i got caught in trouble because i generate too much links.
The content is fine, anime is fine, i just got really bad warning for generating way too much link for public. till now mine still suspended though, no i don't get fired dw
Once it's back i dare to use my onedrive again (because we could met in agreement, public link is fine but it must be less than 30 days). setting 29days expiry is easy enough, hell yea who wouldn't an easy download link?
now back to the main problem, keeping the Ongoing link alone is plenty of work because for some reason i tend to take 6-7 titles at once during airing season, those beggar doesn't help at all and asking for more?!! (gee, color me pink surprised). and then i have to take requests for completed titles, ovas, movies, boom suddenly you have 370 threads count in total.. wut???
i got really fed up with changing download links, and it's really grinds my gears when i have to put my downloader at malvertising risks like i've been doing lately (using uptobox, because it's dead easy to bulk url upload and same goes for mirror creator). there are people that tell me i shouldn't give a fuck whether i'll put every single of you on risk because you beans supposed to learn how to protecc yourself using dns sink / umatrix /whatever. but personally i can't accept that idea, it just felt wrong tho, just because i knew more that doesn't give me an excuse to be a dick
and then i stroll around looking for alternative, i tried
IPFS because i think it's really great, hey you can just use your web browser to download them, and let the server owner dealing with pain in the ass technical problem.
did it worked out? well, yes. but actually, no. we can put files to online, connected to 10k+ of other nodes, and then the downloader could succ the files at 2MBps speed. what a fucking joke
the actual reason we have to drop it is that they got memory leak problem on their used libraries, caused our half-gig server to drop all of the connections, saturate our network ports, and then we got suspended by the host.
IPFS isn't a good idea to put for use YET.
and then i got offered to upload them to torrent sites, like anidex or nyaa. but i said no, i wanted more privacy but not as autistic as private torrents. if you want to put animegrimoire stuff on torrent, yea do that on your own. i won't help seeding because i don't want to, and it'll add my job to upload a torrent files to those site. i can assure you i'm the most lazyass person in this forum
The Shit:
so i asked what kind of sorcery is that allow me to share files to various devices like:
x86 platform: Yo' granny mama PC
x86_64 platform: usually what used around now, hurrrr ayymd vs intel!!
ARM platform: android phones, raspberry pis, allmighty chinese clone overlord orange pi, banana pi, your smartv, rice cooker, coffe maker (y gonna download files on those?)
mac platform: alright this is wrong, they're either x86_64 or arm, just with a bit "special care"
with minimal hassle, the dmca bots won't easily download it (yes, the one who keeps taking down shit are actually just a bot), and it's easy to follow. the answer was
Syncthing.
So in summary, i installed syncthing on my fedora server, and you installed syncthing in your windows laptop (for example)
1. you install syncthing, and you give your Syncthing ID to me
2. me, an intellectual: record your ID
3. me, added your syncthing ID to my Syncthing server as frens (were they called 'friends'? or 'peers'? not sure)
4. me, start sharing myfolders to you.
The folder will looks like this, so you can selectively pick which anime are you interested on
/Ongoing
/Ongoing/Azur Lane/
/Ongoing/PSO2 - Episode Oracle/
/Ongoing/Honzuki no Gekokujou/
/Other
/Other/Trinity Seven - da moovie
/Other/NEKOPARA OVA/
/Other/The Manga Guides/
/Completed
/Completed/Kabaneri in Ayylmao Fortress
/Completed/Attack on Titan S3
/Request
/Request/Something uhhhh/
5. you, an intellectual: select which shit are you interested on
here's how to pick it. If you interested only on my Ongoing season, you can put a checkmark on "/Ongoing" folder and ignore the rest. this way, you'll be automatically downloading my ongoing stuff.
BUT if you only wanted the Azur Lane, you only put a checkmark on Azur Lane folder and ignore the "/Ongoing". so you'll specifically only download Azur Lane folder.
the big plus in this method is that you'll get the file as soon as i put it on my server, without waiting me uploading them to file cloud server. YES i am so lazy that i ended procastinating like a day before i bumping my thread, even if the files already uploaded lol.
What's your thought sharing files this way? sure it need effort in first time setting it up on first time, but i'm confident that i'm able to help setting them up regardless of your devices / platform.
i'm willing to try this out if there's 3 or 4 active downloader willing to try this. looks stupid but who cares if it's actually works. you get faster access than waiting me to reupload stuff somewhere else
only one of my main concern: i only have like 120GB ish spare space for this syncthing. so i'll manage it like this:
1. All of ongoing season is available in syncthing. After airing ends, it'll still available until next 30 days
2. All of movie/ova/completed title that encoded DURING ongoing season will available until next 30 days after ongoing stuff finished airing
3. I'll make up-to-date file list that currently available in syncthing
4. If you missing out, just ask the anime name and i'll put it back in "/Request" folder for next 30 days
This way, i can workaround the limited space and everyone happy.
Q: Where'd you get this idea?
A: on zeronet, some hongkong protester are sharing files this way and the can get away with it
Q: Holyshit
A: you're welcome
i really want your feedback on this. it's also feels so lonely that i've been years in here but people barely talked to me. i'm doing this everything for you but y tho you just ignoring me
i'm already at my new low that random user calling me a huge flaming faggot is considered as decent communication. i don't know what to do anymore, i literally almost get killed for keep uploading stuff here to make the forum alive, and keep getting told to stop encoding shit. if after everything that i done and still got no response, i really reconsider to take my pills and plug my life support off.
i got told to stop because i uses my employer's resources. can't really do much when your company already passed the paper because i got no decent communication isn't it. at least, it's been a good run. thank you for reading my rant
